October 2021 marked 30 years since the establishment of the 17 Principles of Environmental Justice which called for the decolonization of the environmental justice movement with centering the voices of Black, Latinx and Indigenous people who are the most disproportionately impacted by environmental racism.
Black Millennials 4 Flint has partnered with the Memphis Urban League Young Professionals Join Week 2022 to launch a private pre-screening of "Towards Environmental Justice", a short documentary honoring our ancestors, elders, and modern environmental justice leaders. The documentary features world renowned environmental justice leaders such as Mustafa Ali Santiago, Jade Begay and more!
