Memphis City Hall, 125 N Main St, Memphis, TN 38103, USA
About the event
Do you have concerns about the water quality in your home? Have you experienced discoloration and strange smells coming from your Memphis tap water? Join Black Millennials 4 Flint in partnership with the Memphis Urban League Young Professionals as we testify before Memphis City Council regarding the lack of transparency regarding water quality in the City of Memphis.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can provide a written statement and email it to your respective council person here: https://www.memphistn.gov/government/city_council.
Please review the Memphis City Council Agenda here: https://memphistn.gov/UserFiles/Servers/Server_11150732/File/Gov/City%20Council/Canale/AG%2006-04.pdf.
We are also available to provide support with crafting a statement and providing support for transportation (only on a case-by-case situation). We will also reimburse those who testify with reimbursement for parking (with proof of receipt). Email us at info@blackmillennials4flint.org.
Please arrive at 3:00 PM (the meeting begins at 3:30 PM) so we can assemble. The actual meeting will take place in the Council Chambers on the 1st floor.
We MUST work together to keep our water clean!
